Okay, so U2 dropped “Street of Dreams,” and we are officially in it. This is one of those songs that comes out swinging with a bright, joyful energy and immediately makes you want to hear it again just to catch everything you missed the first time.


We watched the video, listened along, and had a very normal and calm reaction, which is to say: we had a lot of feelings. The song has that classic U2 thing where it feels polished and intentional, but also fun in a way that keeps you leaning in. It’s poppy without being boring, and it has just enough surprise in it to keep us interested.


The video is a big part of the experience too. It has this playful, documentary-style vibe that makes it feel like you’re watching something real unfold instead of just looking at a performance piece. That gives the whole thing a little extra charm, which is very on-brand for a song that already sounds like it wants to make you smile.


And can we talk about the rhythm section? Because the bass and drums really pop here. The whole track feels fuller because of it, and that extra movement gives the song a nice little push. We love when a song has that kind of forward motion, especially when it still leaves room for Bono and Edge to do their thing.


There’s also a bridge moment that caught us off guard in the best way. Not in a “what is happening” way, but in a “wait, I need to hear that again” way. And honestly, that’s usually a good sign. Songs that sneak up on you like that tend to stick around.


What we keep coming back to is that this song feels happy. Not fake-happy. Not overly glossy-happy. Just genuinely bright and full of momentum. It feels like the kind of track that could soundtrack a road trip, a summer night, or one of those commercials where everybody’s smiling too much and you’re not sure what they’re selling, but the song is definitely doing the heavy lifting.


So yes, we’re into it. Very into it. And we’re curious what everybody else thinks after a few listens, because this feels like one of those songs that might keep opening up the more you sit with it.
